I decided to try my hand at writing a few short stories. I found that I loved the process. The first story in this collection of 9 is called My Precious Friend told by an 80 lb chocolate Lab who outlines his life with 2 yuppy humans and their adorable little girl. Number 2 is called The Ballerina, the story of a woman picked to dance with the Royal Ballet company at the start of WW2 but is chosen to work with the French Resistance instead. Windsor Square is the setting for story number 3. Set in Notting Hill Gate it is the story of a family that gets to meet their ancestors through devious means. Story number 4 is called Paperback Writer and is the story of a dime novelist whose novels keep emulating real-life murders. There is a very good reason why? Number 5 is 5 poems and numbers 6,7 and 8 are murder mysteries entitled Murder for Hire, The Satchel, and finally the Foam Murders, the story of a serial killer who confounds the United Kingdom by carrying out despicable acts of violence on innocent people and then leaving biblical notes pinned to the victims' bodies.
